The School of Construction Expo gives students the opportunity to operate construction equipment, explore new technology, and get hands on experience using construction related tools. Presentations/Seminars will be scheduled Tuesday, April 11; Exhibits will run Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 9am to 3:00pm!
The School of Construction Expo started fairly small a few years ago, with students getting the opportunity to operate a small variety of earth-moving equipment. Crane and pump truck activities have been added, as well as live demonstrations of concrete placement and finishing techniques.

About Mr. Dave Miles:
Miles is also president of The Beavers, a mostly West Coast-based social, honorary organization formed, organized and managed by the construction companies and individuals who work in the heavy engineering construction industry. Through its foundation, The Beavers contributes more than $1.5 million annually to support construction education programs throughout the country."
About Mr. Dan Fordice:"Mr. Dan Fordice is currently Vice President of Fordice Construction Co. in Vicksburg, MS, which is now a fourth- generation family business since his son Nathan joined the firm in August 2018. Fordice and his brother, Hunter Fordice, operate Fordice Construction Co. which is mainly a Heavy and Civil Federal Construction firm that also builds bridges and has a building division with offices in Vicksburg and St. Francisville, LA.
Fordice has been very active in the Associated General Contractors of America, both at the local and national level. He has served on almost every committee of the local MS Valley AGC Chapter and was Chapter President in 2001. On the national level he has served on many committees and task forces. He has served as the Federal and Heavy Division Chairman, is a life member of the Board of Governors and served as the National PAC Co-Chairman and on the Executive Board and the Education and Research Foundation Board. Through the AGC, Fordice was instrumental in helping to restart the AGC Student Chapter while attending MSU and he was president of the AGC Student Chapter in 1982."
